The municipality of Verran, located in Nord-Trøndelag County in the middle of Norway, is characterised by growth and optimism. This is a great place to live!

Verran has beautiful scenery, bordering the Beitstad Fjord – an arm of the Trondheims Fjord, with wild mountains providing fantastic opportunities for trekking and skiing only 10-15 minutes from the fjord. It is a relatively small municipality, something which we consider an advantage. Here everyone is part of a local community where things are down-to-earth and safe. In addition to good kindergartens/schools and a variety of recreational activities available, this creates a good environment to grow up in for children.

The centre of Verran is Malm, where 1600 of the municipality’s approximately 3000 citizens live. Follafoss, Sela, Verrastranda and Verrabotn are other small towns and villages in Verran. The fjord, along which most people reside, has always been important for Verran’s inhabitants regarding food resources and communication. Today most traffic occurs on roads, and with the planned improvement of Highway 17, Verran will have an even more central location: only 20 minutes to the county capital Steinkjer with its 20,000 citizens, and 90 minutes to Trondheim airport Værnes.
